Camillo Companies Shares Progress on HomeAid Houston, Agape Development Project
New Third Ward Duplex Project Nears Completion
Camillo Companies is pleased to share an update on its ongoing collaboration with HomeAid Houston and Agape Development — a construction project that brings new hope and high-quality housing to families in Houston’s Greater Third Ward area.
“This partnership exemplifies how private organizations, nonprofits, and local stakeholders can come together to create lasting impact in underserved communities,” Camillo Companies Corporate Vice President of Construction & Purchasing John Devens says. “At its core, this initiative is about more than just building homes, it’s about creating opportunity and fostering long-term stability for families who need it most."
The development includes eight newly constructed duplex homes designed to support Agape Development’s mission of providing stability and transformation to residents in need. Residents who live in this housing will have a stable pathway toward transitioning to a long-term housing solution.
Construction is advancing steadily, with key sitework and infrastructure milestones now complete. Driveway approaches are being finalized, utility installations are ongoing, and interior finish work is prepared to move forward as final service connections come online.
Camillo Companies is providing construction services for the new duplex homes. It continues to work closely with CenterPoint Energy and other providers to address final utility installations and ensure safe, timely completion.
A grand opening celebration will take place in the fall. The event will include remarks from leadership at Camillo Companies, HomeAid Houston, and Agape Development, followed by guided tours of the new homes and refreshments.
