In February 2023, Academy Development unveiled refreshed branding that better aligns with its parent brand, Camillo Companies. The new look includes a revitalized set of colors and logo that reflects Academy’s connection to Camillo Companies and its affiliate brands, Legend Homes and SimplyHome.
Academy development looks to the future under new parent brand
Founded in 1989, Academy Development is one of the largest private land development companies in Texas. Throughout its 30-plus years in business, Academy has developed more than 50 communities across the Lone Star State.
This enduring heritage has fueled the growth of Camillo Companies' residential building operations, including build-to-rent innovator SimplyHome and new construction homes operation Legend Homes. Through this partnership, Academy Development creates communities that support Camillo Companies’ shared purpose of bringing home ownership within reach for all.
In spring 2023, Academy Development, Legend Homes, and SimplyHome announced they would operate under the newly created parent brand, Camillo Companies. This strategic unification will streamline operations that will provide more value and better customer experiences.

Now, with fresh sets of logos, colors, and branding, the connections between Academy Development, Legend Homes, and SimplyHome are stronger than ever — and united under a singular vision for the future championed by Camillo Companies.
